The Lihn Center for Psychology

About the Center

Do you worry all the time?
Does your heart race for no apparent reason?
Do you dread social situations?

The therapists at the Lihn Center provide a variety of approaches to treat anxiety. We will evaluate your specific situation and discuss what is right for you.

Anxiety disorder is extremely common; ironically, it is also the most treatable of all emotional difficulties.

People with anxiety often experience unrealistic fears, flashbacks from past trauma, easy startling, changes in sleep patterns, tension, and ritualistic behaviors. Physical symptoms may include shaking, sweating, racing heart, dizziness, and nausea.

High levels of anxiety can create mood fluctuations that change every few minutes or vary from day to day.

Panic Attacks

Sometimes anxiety leads to panic attacks. Panic attacks are real and emotionally debilitating. A panic attack can make you feel like something bad is going to happen "right now, at this very moment."

Social Anxiety

Social anxiety, the third largest psychological problem in the United States, affects 15 million Americans every year. Unlike other psychological problems, social phobias are misdiagnosed almost 90% of the time.

A wide range of therapies and treatments for anxiety disorders are available. Most patients respond well treatment.
